. Pastor Carlton Jones Sr, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in April of 1965 into the Jones home with one brother and a sister. He attended Philadelphia public schools until the seventh grade. When he was age nine his mother finally decided to get him and his siblings out of an abusive house and away from an abusive, alcoholic father. Unfortunately, his mother who had never been on her own, had to resort to drug dealing to support her family.
When he was 13 desperately trying to save her son from the streets, his mother had him transferred to Mitchell Preparatory school, a private school in Haverford, Pa, from which he graduated and received his high school diploma. However, the damage was done. His hard lifestyle led him into a world of illicit sex, violence, abuse, drinking, drugs and crime. By the time he was 17, he had been arrested 13 times and had spent time in St. Francis and St. Gabriel’s for boys.
After a short stint in the US Navy, Pastor Jones entered the work force as a resident assistant
for the United Cerebral Palsy Association. In this capacity he received certifications in CPR, First
Aide, Medication Administration, Safety Restraint Techniques and Basic Behavioral Evaluation.
Immediately it was perceived that Pastor Jones had leadership skills, and he was promoted to Head
House Manager.
However, in the midst of all this he had a separated life. One in which he was involved in drugs,
weapons, prostitution and all other sorts of illegal activities on the streets of Philadelphia. After
taking one bullet to the leg and a knife wound to the chest, he realized that there must be more to life
for him than this. But the power of drugs, money and illicit sex had him bound and unable to escape,
so less than one year later he found himself incarcerated and sentenced to serve 7 ½ to 15 years in
prison.
On August 24, 1984, the Lord saved Pastor Jones, then on August 24th 1989 He called him, with these words: 17 "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for my people; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me: 18 When I say to the wicked, 'You shall surely die,' and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. 19 Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul. 20 Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die; because you did not give him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand. (Ezekiel 3:17-20)

With this call his life only got tougher. But Pastor Jones has pressed on toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Attending Victory Biblical University, Manna Bible Institute, Eastern Theological Seminary, the University of Alameda and Center for Urban Theological Studies. Obtaining a Specialized Associates in Urban Ministry and Associates in Biblical Counseling. A Pennsylvania State Certification in Addiction Counseling , Certification as a Behavioral Analyst and a Bachelors and Masters degrees in Theology. And on the way, he’s served God in various capacities.
